See here’s my problem with the left’s view of the recession…Of course you spend your way out of a recession! It’s not even a debatable question. The real issues are 1) how do you decide how to spend the money when Congress is broken beyond repair and only focused on funneling as much pork to their home states as humanly possible, and 2) how do you get those same corrupt politicians to commit to putting the money back after they raided the cookie jar?

The “deficit hawks” may not be putting forth the best solution, but they are putting forward the practical one; the one that doesn’t involve leveraging the country to the point of no return.

The truth is, the only politically feasible way to combat a major recession like the one we are in is through tax cuts, tax cuts, and more tax cuts. Tax cuts for everyone, rich, poor, in between, EVERYONE. Tax cuts are always politically possible, the problem is that you have to somehow convince the liberals that they have to give up either the study on the mating habits of the Iowa Garden Gnome Snail, or the subsidy for Chinese checkers manufacturers in northwest Missouri…. The same pointless programs that they funded through the “stimulus package” in a ridiculous attempt to spend us out of this mess in the first place.
